Congratulations, Laurie.

Cheers to 40 Years!

Where were you 40 years ago? Fun fact, our very own Laurie Siever was just starting her career with the Saint Paul Port Authority and was a Winter Carnival Queen candidate. And, for the history buffs out there, we are including a link to our agency newsletter from that month.

Q&A with Laurie Siever

What were the Biggest Projects When You First Started?

That summer there were a total of 37 projects under construction, one of the busiest in Port history. These included Energy Park, Energy Technology Center/Control Data, 950 housing units, Saint Paul Hotel update/remodel, Target on University, and Holiday Inn on McKnight.

How Many Port Presidents Have You Worked With?

Five: Gene Kraut, Jim Bellus, Ken Johnson, Louie Jambois, Lee Krueger.

What’s Your Favorite Port Memory?

My fondest memory is when the office rallied around me when I was diagnosed with cancer. They took turns wheeling me around in my wheelchair to places I couldn’t get to on my own. Co-workers and board members offered to drive me to Mayo Clinic in Rochester for my appointments.
