Todd Hurley joined the Saint Paul Port Authority in 2019 as CFO/COO. Prior to joining the Port Authority, Todd spent nearly 30 years with the city of Saint Paul, where he was most recently the director for the Office of Financial Services. Todd holds a B.A. in business administration and finance from the University of Saint Thomas.
Nelly Chick, CPA
Nelly Chick joined the Saint Paul Port Authority in 2020 as an Accounting and Business Strategies Manager. Prior to joining the organization, she was a senior staff accountant with Boyum and Barenscheer PLLP. Nelly, a licensed CPA, brings to her position five years of accounting experience and a degree in accounting from Hamline University. She is also a member of MNCPA and AICPA.
Bruce Kessel, CPA
Bruce Kessel started with the Saint Paul Port Authority in 2001 as the organization’s controller. Bruce brings to this role extensive knowledge in governmental accounting and finance, tax increment financing, new market tax credits, Minnesota sales tax, and federal/state exempt tax reporting.
Bruce earned his B.S. in business administration from the University of North Dakota. Prior to joining Saint Paul Port Authority, Bruce spent 10 years in public accounting and 11 years in government accounting roles. On a personal note, Bruce serves on the board of directors for the Minnesota Boat Club.
Peter Klein, CPA
Peter has been with Saint Paul Port Authority since 1997. As vice president of finance, Peter manages the Trillion BTU and MinnPACE energy finance programs.
Peter brings to this role 15 additional years’ experience in private business, holding controller and treasurer positions. Peter earned his B.S. in business management from the University of Minnesota and master’s degree from Cardinal Stritch University. On a personal level, Peter serves as the Treasurer of Neighborhood Development Connection.
Dana started with Saint Paul Port Authority in 1998. As the personnel and financial operations manager, Dana is responsible for employee payroll and benefits. Prior to joining Saint Paul Port Authority, Dana worked in an accounting role in the nonprofit sector. She is currently working towards her bachelor's degree through Metro State University.
Dana is a Notary Public.
Michael joined the Saint Paul Port Authority in 2017 as a loan officer supporting energy finance programs. Michael brings to his role eight years of experience in the banking industry. Michael earned his B.S. in business administration from Michigan Technological University and MBA in finance from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management.
