Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Monday – Friday, and overtime as needed.

Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Duties include assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Processes customer shipments in the most cost efficient and effective method to meet customer needs
  • Package products as required. Adhere labels in correct locations
  • Maintains accurate and cleanly warehouse that is organized and safe
  • Enter recommendations to management for improvements in areas such as personal safety, improved product quality, better rates and yields or any other matters that-impact shop costs or employees’ health
  • Practice safe working habits and maintain housekeeping in work area
  • Employee must pass the job related physical requirement testing
  • Confirm product and count according to instructions on Job Ticket
  • Make certain sub-packaging is done according to customer requirements
  • Package products as required
  • Adhere labels in correct locations
  • Produce packing lists
  • Make certain that all affected persons are informed when actual quantity differs from Job Ticket Quantity
  • Call proper carriers to pick up cargo ready for shipment
  • Receive and document all incoming products
  • Maintain and prepare inventory count and accuracy records
  • Manage finished goods inventories
  • Enter recommendations to management for improvements in areas such as personal safety, improved product quality, better rates and yields or any other matters that-impact shop costs or employees’ health.
  • Practice safe working habits and maintain housekeeping in work area
  • Complete other duties as assigned

The Best Candidates Will Have 

  • Know and understand ICC, UPS, FAA, local regulations, etc., that govern transportation of Vomela products
  • Know and understand international regulations that govern shipment of Vomela’s products
  • Know how to use all the pertinent packaging tools and supplies including label printing
  • Be able to use the computer as they relate to shipping and receiving Vomela’s goods
  • Know “ship and backorder” procedures
  • It is desirable to be a licensed forklift driver
  • Employee must pass the job related physical requirement testing
